Setting Views For All Folders With Vista
The Windows Vista Operating System has a variety of different folder views including tiles, lists, details and multiple icon views. Vista analyzes the contents of the folder and tries to determine the best view appropriate for the encased files. This tends to lead to several varieties of looks across many different folders on the computer.
Many people don’t want a different look while navigating through Windows Explorer. If you are one of them, I have a nifty tip that allows you to select one specific view that will set all the folders to the same look and feel.
- Open up any folder in Windows Explorer.
- Press the <ALT> key once on the keyboard.
- Click Tools then select Folder Options.
- Click on the View Tab.
- Click on Apply to Folders.
- Select Yes to the popup dialog box.
